Parsage, Inc. the makers of KOMASO (hereafter "KOMASO") knows that you take your privacy seriously. We do, too. We are committed to giving you transparency of our privacy practices and control over your data in connection with KOMASO's Services (as defined in KOMASO's Terms of Service).
Below this paragraph is formal legal language that you should read to understand the details, but the short version is this: 1. Komaso does not collect any information about your name, or the names of anyone on the call. We do not record any personal information about the calls.2. When you use the Internet your ISP will collect information about which IP addresses you connect to. We may also connect such IP information for the purposes of connecting users. We store this data for a limited time for analysis of traffic. Our partners may also do so. We do not associate any names with this information, but your ISP may be able to link a particular IP address to you as they are the ones that issue you an IP address. 3. We will comply with any legal warrant provided by authorities. This is our civic and legal obligation. But we do not collect information for any government or 3rd party private organization. 4. For Slack integrations we collect basic information on the Slack team so that we can provide the service. We do not store information about team members, channels, except for the purposes of creating the call invitations.
This Privacy Policy covers KOMASO's treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") and other data that KOMASO gathers when you are accessing KOMASO's Services. The Services are not available to individuals who are younger than 13 years old.
What Personal Information Does KOMASO Collect?
• Personal Information Account Administrative Owners Provide to Us:
We receive and store any information you enter on our Services or provide to us in any other way. The types of Personal Information collected may include your name, email address, phone number, birthday, Twitter and/or Facebook usernames, location, use information regarding your use of our Services, and browser information. The Personal Information you provide is used for such purposes as allowing you to set up a user account. Your Services account will be associated with your email and this account will be used for all our Services that you use. Information you provide to one of our Services may be used with other Services you or your friends use. For example, location information we receive in connection with your use of one of our apps may be used to customize the content you and your friends see in another of our apps. We may also draw upon this Personal Information in order to adapt the Services of our community to your needs, to research the effectiveness of our network and Services, and to develop new tools for the community.
• Personal Information Meeting Participants Provide to Us:
We receive and may store any information meeting participants enter on our Services or provide to us in any other way. Meeting participants are not required to enter personal information to join meetings.
• Information Collected Automatically:
When you use the Services, KOMASO may automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform, including your location, IP address, browser type, operating information, mobile carrier, device and application IDs, cookie information, and the page you requested. We treat this data as non-Personal Information, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law. Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, KOMASO only uses this data in aggregate form. We may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our users, collectively, use our Services, so that our partners may also understand how often people use their services and our Services.
• Information We Receive from Third Parties:
We receive and store information from third parties that interact in some way with the Services or that provide services to us in connection with the Services. Such information may come from services associated with your account, such as integration with #Slack or other external service that you separately authorize to integrate with KOMASO.
How is My Information Shared?
Personal Information about our users is not collected or used by KOMASO for any purpose other than to ensure their access to the system. We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. KOMASO may share your Personal Information only as described in this Privacy Policy and related documents. Only Account Administrative Owners are required to provide Personal Information to establish the account, and to make payments for the KOMASO Service.
• Meetings
No User Provided Personal Information is required to create, host, and participate in meetings on the KOMASO Service. KOMASO Rooms optionally allow the user to provide an email address (self provided Personal Information) to notify the Meeting Room Owner of activity in the Meeting Room.
• Emails
KOMASO will send emails to users who have provided Personal Information for the following purposes:
• Registration confirmation
• Password reset information
• Invitation to join meeting
• Summary information about meetings and system usage
• Slack messages sent back to the originating meeting channel may include:
• Information about a newly created meeting
• Summary information about meeting participants
• Summary information about KOMASO usage
• External providers of services to KOMASO
KOMASO uses external hosting providers and Internet Service Providers for parts of the KOMASO Service. This includes databases that store Personal Information. Such information is not available to the hosting providers and no permissions are granted to external parties to review this information, except to comply with properly issued and executed court orders.
No Personal Information is shared with external service providers who transmit audio/video/screen sharing information.
Services Features
The Services include several features that may allow you to share your information with others. This includes real time audio/video/screen sharing, and agenda editing and textual chat messaging. This information is available to all who participate in the Meeting. Summary information about the Agenda and chat messages may be shared via email to the Meeting Room Owner, or to the Slack Channel that originated the meeting
Business transfers and protection of KOMASO and others:
• Business Transfers: If KOMASO or substantially all of its assets are acquired, or in the unlikely event that KOMASO goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
• Protection of KOMASO and Others: We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law, including laws outside your country of residence; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of KOMASO, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations (including outside of your country of residence) for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Email Communications
By providing your email address to us, you expressly consent to receive emails from us. We may use email to communicate with you, to send information that you have requested or to send information about other products or services developed or provided by us or our partners. We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from KOMASO if your computer supports this type of program. KOMASO uses this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful and improve our service.
What About Cookies and Similar Technologies?
We and our agents use technologies like cookies, pixels, and local storage (like on your browser or device, which is similar to a cookie but holds more information) and identifiers (including identifiers supplied by your browser or device or by app platform companies) on our website, in our emails, and within our apps to provide you with a range of products and services. You can control cookies through your browser settings and other tools. By continuing to use our Services through your computer or mobile device, you consent to our use of cookies, pixels and local storage in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Is Personal Information About Me Secure?
Your KOMASO account Personal Information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately, and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.
KOMASO endeavors to safeguard user information to ensure that user account information is kept private. However, KOMASO cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
The Services may contain links to other sites. KOMASO is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site, you should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on the Services.
International Users
If you are located outside of the United States, please note that this site is hosted on our computer servers in the United States. Therefore, your information may be processed and stored in the United States. As a result, United States federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of your information through laws applicable in the United States. Your use of the Sites or the Services or your submission of any Personal Information to us will constitute your consent to the transfer of your Personal Information outside of your home country, including the United States, which may provide for different data protection rules than in your country.
KOMASO complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. KOMASO has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. What Personal Information Can I Access?
KOMASO allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information and ensuring that it is accurate and complete. You can access this information on the Services by visiting the user settings page (except usage information, which can be accessed in the "History" tab). This list will change as our Service changes.

How Do I Delete My Account?
Should you ever decide to delete your Services account, you may do so by clicking on the "delete account" link on your account owner dashboard. If you terminate your account, your profile (as defined in KOMASO's Terms of Service) and any promotional offers you received, will be removed from the site and deleted from KOMASO's servers. Because of the way we maintain KOMASO, such deletion may not be immediate, and residual copies of your profile information or posts may remain on backup media for up to ninety (90) days.
How Is Information Removed From My Account?
You can remove/change content or information that you have posted on the Services on your account and profile through the Services or you can ask us to remove it by writing to support@komaso.com. Even after you remove information from your account or profile, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere, to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users. Removed and deleted information may remain on backup media for up to ninety (90) days prior to being deleted from our servers.
Will There Be Changes To This Privacy Policy?
KOMASO may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make material changes in the way we use Personal Information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Services or sending you an email. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when they use the Services after such changes have been first posted.
